How to deal with Dishonest Abe

How to deal with Dishonest Abe

Toshihiko Shiobara

The Economist (March 17th -23rd 2018) argues how to deal with Vladimir Putin, who is similar to Shinzo Abe, the Prime Minister of Japan. We can indicate that both of them are dishonest. They disseminate disinformation to inside and outside of their countries. Consequently they keep their power without any legitimacy.

Russian people have been cheated since 2000, when Putin was inaugurated as the President of the Russian Federation. Japanese were deceived by Dishonest Abe, who maneuvered behind the scenes in various ways after the several scandals were disclosed in 2017, and Dishonest Abe cheated all Japanese in the general election held in October, 2017. Therefore, let us inform all other foreigners not to believe any comments made by Dishonest Abe.

We, Japanese, now try to dismiss Dishonest Abe from office. Nonetheless, because Abe is too dishonest to agree to resign his post.

In Japan, there are a large number of hereditary legislators. Dishonest Abe and Dishonest Taro Aso are both patrimonial. They can win the election, because they could inherit a lot of money through political organizations, in which money is not levied an inheritance tax in reality. Therefore, we can call them kleptocrats. In addition, we can doubt their abilities, because they are not exposed themselves under fair competition.

Dishonest Abe even now disseminate disinformation, denying the relation with his wife in the transaction of the state-owned land, although he promised to retire from the post of not only the Prime Minister but also the member of the Lower House, if his wife and he were concerned with the transaction of the state-owned land. In reality, government officials were forced to alter official documents in order to conceal the relations of his wife with the transaction.

Nonetheless, even now a lot of members of incumbent parties cannot blame Dishonest Abe. The government is governed by the threat of Dishonest Abe.

As a researcher of Russia I can describe that Russian government and Russian state-owned-enterprises are governed by the threat of Putin. Staff and agents of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation (FSB) are dispatched to the government and enterprises, and exercise surveillance over officials and employees.

It seems that the FSB tries to assassinate betrayers, even if they live abroad. In Japan, it seems that several members of the Liberal Democratic Party applied pressure to the officials of the Ministry of Education and Science, requiring the report of the lecture of the betrayer, Kihei Maekawa, who criticized Dishonest Abe. This means that the Ministry interfered with an individual lecture in the official education. Dishonest Abe and his colleges try to control education through their threat.

Of course, bureaucrats should behave themselves as one who serve to the whole society. However, they cannot take such actions. Although there is a whistle-blowing system, it does not function. The proverb that don’t try to resist the tide does exist even now in Japan.

Mass media becomes intimidated as well. Dishonest Abe shows the strict attitude against the media which comments negatively on Dishonest Abe.

Judging by the situation in Russia and Japan, we can argue that Russia and Japan are controlled by dictators, that is, Dishonest Putin and Dishonest Abe.
